EdGEL Technology Delivery

This project will develop the Edinburgh Global Experience Language (EdGEL) further to encourage adoption and usage across the University.

Background

EdGEL provides a standard for digital design delivery across the University’s digital platforms. It also provides a process and framework to support the building blocks of digital experiences.

The project will support the evolution of EdGEL to create a more consistent and unified experience for end users.

This  project will:

  • review the current state of EdGEL
  • gather technical requirements
  • evaluate possible tools and frameworks that could be used
  • develop the supporting technology and code standards to facilitate adoption
  • create a plan for the rollout of the EdGEL service and transition to business-as-usual
